Jocelyn graduated from the Clinical Psychology training programme at the University of Melbourne and is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) as well as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). ā
Outside of therapy, Jocelyn is a hiker wannabe and a (very) occasional artist. A mother to an adorable 5-year-old, she enjoys seeing attachment theories come alive as she fumbles along her parenting journey.Ā

Therapeutic Orientation
Jocelyn believes that change and growth are co-created by the client and therapist in collaboration, with safety and authenticity as the cornerstones. She draws mainly from psychodynamic and relational therapeutic modalities and incorporates them flexibly with other evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behaviour therapy.
She believes that beyond symptom reduction, it is the process of empowering survivors to (re)gain autonomy and hope, develop self-compassion, and eventually make meaning out of pain that captures the heart of healing.Ā Ā
Experience
Her work in the public setting included caring for the mental health needs of patients with complex health conditions and promoting staff wellness. She has also delivered mental health talks to primary care clinicians and community partners.Ā Ā
Having immersed herself in trauma research during her academic years, Jocelyn has a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and anchors her practice in recovery-oriented principles. She is also pursuing further training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
