Senior Clinical Psychologist
MPsych. (Clinical Psychology); BSc. in Psychology
Registered Clinical Psychologist (SRP)
Approved Clinical Supervisor (SRP)
Isobel is a registered clinical psychologist and supervisor with over a decade of experience across public sector and healthcare settings. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology) and Master of Psychology (Clinical).
Isobel brings over a decade of experience working with adults, families, youth and children with adverse or traumatic life experiences. She places close attention on the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for psychological safety and trust. She is guided by a trauma-informed framework that prioritises a paced and collaborative approach with clients, seeks to empower clients with choice, and maintains a non-judgemental curiosity about each client's unique identity and culture.
Outside of work, Isobel enjoys creative activities - mostly appreciating others’ creations from afar, but occasionally creating her own works as well.
Therapeutic Orientation
Isobel believes that trauma recovery begins in safe relationships, and that a strong therapeutic alliance forms the foundation for meaningful change. Experience
Isobel has a strong clinical interest in supporting clients whose lives have been impacted by difficult or traumatic experiences. She began her journey in a government ministry with children, youth, and families under public or community care who had experienced abuse or other difficult familial circumstances. She subsequently worked at a public hospital providing trauma-focused care to adult women with experiences of relational, accidental, physical, sexual, perinatal, or childhood trauma. Across these roles, she has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the holistic needs of her clients.
An advocate for professional development, Isobel is an SRP-registered clinical supervisor who provides reflective supervision to support growth in early-career practitioners. Beyond individual therapy, Isobel believes in the value of trauma-informed principles in systems, and has worked with organisations and professionals to embed these approaches into their practice. She has also delivered talks and trainings on trauma-informed care to community and healthcare professionals, and on general mental health topics (e.g., mindfulness) to workplace audiences.
Beyond her clinical training, Isobel holds expertise in implementation science, with experience collaborating across agencies and cultural communities on the development and implementation of national-level policies and legislation. These experiences have deepened her understanding of how community, systemic, and societal factors shape individual well-being.
"Discovering who we truly are goes beyond the stories we’ve held about ourselves — it asks us to dive deeper into our minds and bodies, and to experience ourselves in relation to others. What we find may pleasantly surprise us!"
